James Pike, Counselor, LCPC-C
Hello!
I work predominately with adolescents and adults. I completed my undergraduate work at the College of the Atlantic where I received a BA in human ecology and earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in the creative arts from the University of Maine at Farmington.
I am a ‘collaborative therapist’ which means I believe that all clients are their own experts and should be the ones calling the shots. My style is conversational and non-clinical.
I try to combine cognitive-based talk-therapy with more experiential approaches like expressive therapies (art and music therapy, for instance), EMDR (eye movement desensitization & reprocessing) and IFS (internal family systems).
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, neurodivergence, et al. I draw from a variety of theories entirely dependent on the needs of each individual client.
I currently work as a full-time LCPC with a conditional license from the State of Maine.
My fee is $100 per session.
